Electro plasma polishing machine

The electro plasma polishing machine is intended for high-quality polishing and for attaching high decorative and special properties to the surface of parts made of different metals. The machine can be used both for final polishing of the surface and surface preparation of a part to the subsequent deposition of vacuum and galvanic coatings.

  • high quality of a polished surface that exceeds the quality obtained by the usual mechanical polishing method;
  • high productivity of the process in comparison with mechanical polishing;
  • absence of mechanical inclusions in a material of polished parts that are typical of the method of mechanical polishing with abrasive materials using.

In contrast to the method of electrochemical polishing the process of electroplasma polishing takes place in an electrolyte vapour- gaseous medium forming in a treated surface area.
The field of application:

  • polishing of parts made of stainless steel (dentures, table-ware, bracelets, pipe, pans etc.) before vacuum deposition of decorative coatings;
  • polishing of brass parts for consumer goods and machine-building production before vacuum or galvanic deposition of protective coatings;
  • polishing of parts made of construction steels for machine-building production before vacuum or galvanic deposition of coatings.

For the machine use it is necessary to have:

  • a three-phase and four-wire with null wire supply line with a voltage of 380 V and a frequency of 50 Hz;
  • a system of the circulating water supply with a temperature of 10-20°C , pressure of 300-490 kPa and consumption of 0.6 m3/h;
  • a system of compressed air for solution bubbling with pressure of 300-490 kPa;
  • a system of exhaust ventilation with productivity of 800 m3/h.

Special seating is not necessary for the machine arrangement.
